Dr. Lynn Klassen, ND, and Dr. Carolyn Mukai, ND, know what it is like to sit with a complex case that does not fit a tidy diagnosis or a single protocol. In a busy clinical practice focused on Lyme disease, tick-borne illness, and chronic complex presentations, they work with the same uncertainty, overlapping systems, treatment-tolerance questions, and follow-up decisions practitioners face every day. Since 2023, Lynn and Carolyn have taught and presented internationally on Lyme and vector-borne illness at scientific and professional conferences in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Europe. Their speaking history includes multiple ILADS Annual Conferences, ILADS European Scientific Conferences, the International Conference on Chronic Pathologies, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians Annual Conference, and the Institute for Functional Medicine Annual International Conference, as well as practitioner seminars and webinars. They created Beyond Lyme to bring that clinical and teaching experience into a practical learning framework—helping healthcare practitioners organize complexity, deepen clinical reasoning, communicate more clearly with patients, and approach care with greater clarity and confidence.
